GPA front shocks

I am looking for GPA front shocks are they still available from Gabriel? Or do they make them on special order.

Hi Cees,
All I used on my GPA was standard GPW / MB Shocks.
They fitted with out a problem. (May not be 100% correct but they work)

I only can use MB shocks if I use your extended bell crank shaft.

I have found a alternative for the GPA front shocks. They are extended a little bid shorter. I removed the rubbers and can use the ford/mb style rubbers they fit perfect.

BOGE automatic
5156M18 or 27-720-9 are used by VW transporters type T1 ’52-’65, T2 ’67, T3 front shocks. http://www.findpart.org/part/bog-277209
max length 39,5 cm 15 ½ “
min. length 25,5 cm 10”

Original Front Shocks from center bold to center bold measured from the originals.
max length 40,5 cm 16”
min. length 28 cm 11”

Mine still has the original shocks, but it is good to know that there is a substitute!
BTW, do you still own that lovelly 4WS Hanomag?
