Post by 41jeeps » Sat Dec 31, 2011 4:10 pm

Hello guys,

Does the GPA use a jeep speedo and hand brake cable?

Thanks,
Luc

Hello Luc,

The speedo and speedo cable are the same, but the hand brake cable is a little longer then the one used on the jeep.

Hello Luc,

For you and your family a happy new year as well (and off course also for all Forum members).
I will be in my shed next Saturday so I will give you then the difference in length, I'm working on both cables for my GPA and GPW now, they are next to eachother on the table.
I will get back to you soon.
Regards,

Leo Verhagen

Hapy new year to everybody!

Thanks Leo!!

Am currently installing the wiring on the bulkhead.
Does anybody has a picture how it is routed?
I went to Jaap to see his beautifull GPA, but it is a very early one, which is different from the very late ones (11747)

Regards,
Luc

Luc,

My GPA handbrake cable is overall around 4" longer then the GPW version, the outer cable is 1-1.5" inch longer.
I hope this helps.

Thanks Leo,

I have put in the cable that came out when I bought it.
Hope it works, it is F marked which is a good sign already.
It is taking shape now, am picturing as I go for future restorations.

Best Regards,
Luc
