Surf shield ?

Post by David Welch » Sun Apr 03, 2011 4:09 pm

What holds the surf shield in place when it is in the forward position. Did it chance during production?
Any pictures ?
Thanks
David

David,

There are two shoulder bolts that stick up and catch the surf shield (there are special brackets on the surf shield). I will see if I have any pictures and post.

Hi David
Loosen the wingnuts and turn the surfshield 180 degr. forward and push the lips under the bolts as on the attached picture.
Fasten the wingnuts.

Hi
Can any one give me a length of the shoulder on the bolt?
(How long the un machined part of the bolt is that the surf shield clips around)

I need to make a couple for my GPA.

Best regards
Richard
