Hi Cees,
Yes they have welded all the bottom back in.
It looks 100% like its original right down to the drain flanges and skid rails.

I will try and post some more photos.

It would be great to be at your swim in in August. Its on my list of "Must do" in this life time.

Here are some photos of the repaired under side.
It has been a busy time here, we have now fitted the power train and she is last home again.
Soon I will have her in the water. :D

One starts to under stand just how much work in restoring a GPA.

The hull looks fantastic. You really did a great job with it. I hope you get to swim soon. I am sorry I could not make it to Dayton. Maybe the next MVPA or heaven forbid I come to Australia!

Decided to take a week of work to speed up the assemble of the GPA.
Over 100 hours later and it finally moves under its own power for the first time in 50years sunny

Well only about another 254 jobs to go and it should be finished. rolley

GPA 9398 has at last had its first swim in probably 50 years.

Now there is just a pile of small jobs to do as i settler her back in to regular use.

Yes there are spys every where. I think it was on You tube before the GPA was back in the shed.

How does that happen??
What a day, it had been 40C ++ for the previous week, the day we come to swim the GPA it comes in cold.
We get out into the middle of the lake and it rained like mad. You could not tell if the hull was leaking or wether it was just the rain.

But a good time was had by all.
