Steering Wheel Rod/Steering box

Post by storchski » Sat Mar 07, 2009 10:34 pm

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could post a picture of the steering box/steering wheel connection. My steering wheel shaft was cut and converted to right hand drive. I will be changing it back and want to know if the steering wheel shaft joins the box or is it one piece. The exploded view in the parts just doesn't show what I need. Is the bolt used as a grub screw?

Storchski,

The steering column shaft is one piece and is the same as a GPW except the where the horn wire connects/touches the shaft. The location is different to account for the steering spool for the rudder cable. I hope this makes sense. My coumn is all together or I would send a picture of the shaft.
