GPA Choppy Fall Swim with Video

Post by GPA2196 » Sun Oct 26, 2008 1:01 pm

I took GPA 2196 out for a swim yesterday. The lake was a little choppy and windy. You can really see how vulnerable the GPA would have been in rough ocean/beach landings. That said I felt very comfortable and the GPA performed great. Started closing the front radiator hatch when going into wind and waves, the temp holds pretty well at 180 as long as you are not full out for long durations that way. I've gotten a lot better on my landings and been playing with faster entries.... Just makes for more clean up after the swim. Aplogies for the unedited video.

Leo,

Good to hear from you. I'm glad the posts are helping. I know over the 7 years trying to acquire/restore, there were moments where I never thought I would be at this stage, but it was worth it. Keep up the good work.

Thanks
Tony
