update leo s body repair

Post by fordgpa » Fri Jan 12, 2007 10:34 pm

Hi guys here is a update off the hull repair .
If you are gone do this ,make sure you fit the frame after or during the repairs.
I am almost getting grazy about it ,frame in /frame out
Next repair frame in /frame out etc etc. :?
But it is the only way to make sure it is gone fit when you are done repairing a GPA.
The front off the hull needed some major repair.
First I had to take out a lot and then repair it with new hand made body parts.
see pictures btw I am not ready

It seems most than perfect. I wish I could find such a great metal worker than you are to finish Luc's job on mine too ...

Still looking for one skilled welder

Today Peter and I have finished my hull repairs.
Peter did the welding of the cage nuts, the deck rail and repaired the last (I hope) small holes.
After that he did the sealing.
My job was polishing and to put primer on all spots that still needed primer.
Bob Asselbergs came visiting us with his gpa.

Now Peter and I are very happy, Peter because my ...thing is finally leaving his shed, and I'm happy becuase I can finally start building up.

Thanks again Peter for all the work you have done and for all the lessons you gave me on metalworking.
I will never reach your level of skills, but I did learn a lot.

Off course Peter had to put the name KURSK on the side!
