Pike Pole

Post by GPA2196 » Wed Sep 13, 2006 3:20 pm

Gentlemen,

Does anybody have any pictures and dimensions of what the pike pole looked like? I bought repro pike head from Steve Greenberg. the part fixes to the pole is male threaded as if it screws into the pole or has something around it.....

Any thoughts, pics? dimensions? What have you guys used for the pole? I would think most tool handles would be too short.

Thanks,
Tony

Tony,

I did not have exact dimensions, but I used a wooden closet rod (like you would hang clothes on) to make mine. I bought it at Home Depot or Lowes. I then turned the ends down with a grinder to make an appropriate fit.

BTW, GPA 5510's frame is back on the completed axles. I will now begin to assemble the frame. Ginny has been taking pictures along the way, so I need her to post them here for everyone's enjoyment. Apologies to eveyone for being such a slackard!

Great news Steve... I look forward to seeing the pics... BTW the Rifle Rack Mounts you leant me apparently did not have the drivers side top of cowl mount... do you have that one?

Cheers,
Tony

we have an original pike pole in Moscow. Give me a few weeks and we can try to get the dimensions.
