Fuel Filler Neck

In restoring my GPA we made extra fuel filler necks, both because the original one on my vehicle was non-existent, and most of those that others restoring vehicles had were unusable. The flanges are originals from GPW replacements, and we worked from engineering drawings Richard Saunders made up fro...

Re: For Sale: Reproduction GPA Boat Hook Casting

I'll gtake one. Do you have any photographic documentation that this is, in fact, a boat hook that was used. I've seen several variants that folks believe were used. Email payment info to Dolasov@olasov.com. Thanks.

Re: F/S GPA Bonnet catch

Rchard,

We were wondering what held the lid up! Sign me up for one. You'll let me know where it attaches, if it isn't obvious. Thanks,

Re: Rear Compartment Wooden Panels

My son Michael finally did thke drawings, bukt he did them in pdf. I'm having him redraw them in the other formats that were requested. I don't know how to post them, but anyone interested can send me a private email and I'll send them on.

Re: Rear Compartment Wooden Panels

My son Michael converted our original drawing, derived from a photo taken at an angle, into the formats Cees requested, and Bob sent me the full scale patterns that we marked up for one of the rounds of corrections. The second round fitted the boards into the vehicle, so there's no easy way to recap...

Re: Rear Compartment Wooden Panels

Bob Fulcher has the full-scale templates we put together. We're trying to figure out what to do to make them available to everyone in a useful format.

Re: Rear Compartment Wooden Panels

Will do. It'll take me a couple of days to put them together. A design literate son and I digitized the shapes from a photo of the pieces that was taken from an angle. We got the shapes essentially correct. Bob Fulcher then sized them to the actual locations, make full size cartoons and sent them to...

Re: Rear Compartment Wooden Panels

We made some full-scale plans of the rear pressed board panels, which we made out of 1/4" MDF and had to tweak when we got down to final installation. I can share them with anyone who is interested, We generated the drawings from photos.

Cable for GPA anchor

The GPA operators manual indicates that the anchor was equipped with "6 ft.-1/4" Cable, attached". I presume this means that 1/4" wire cable (not chain) was attached to the anchor by a shackle going through a thimble on the cable. In that case there would have been another thimbl...

I'm game for two fittings (even though I'm still looking for the correct hand pump).

GPA fuel filler neck

My cohort Bob Fulcher, working from very detailed specs and drawings that Richard Sanders provded from an original fuel filler neck, has made a limited number of very exact copies. Anyone interested in acquiring one from Bob should contact him at bobf@american-classic.com or telephone him at 508-278...

Manuals for GPA

In addition to all of the foregoing, if you entertain the idea of putting a military radio on the GPA, you'll want to get TM 11-2707, which is the tech manual for the installation of radio equipment on the GPA. This tells you what radios went on the GPA and how they were to be installed. The version...

fuel filler neck

The restorer I'm working with, Bob Fulcher, of American Classic Restorations, has finished a prototype. He and I were able to find a supply of NOS filler tank tops (the part the cap attaches to) from MB/GPW tanks. This is the most difficult part to reproduce in the absence of dies. I'm driving up to...

Fuel filler neck

I need one for my project GPA as well. If someone has dimensions, it would be easy enough to fabricate one.
