Donovan, No, they had nothing to do with GPAS. Your bung looks to be from a aviation fuel drum going by the inscriptions on it. The bungs and the gpa inspection holes were both NPT thread, National Pipe Thread,and the same diameter. John Hecker.

hi donovan. the main floor pipe is 410 mm long but allow for two bell type flares as well, one being at right angles for the slide on filter gause. have not got the long pipe measurement as icannot get to it in my gpa. johnh.

I have a detailed restoration of GPA 9542 which was fairly original when discovered with matching engine and serial number. Also have unrestored GPA 7969 ANDgpa 7938, all 3 of which belonged to the Australian army.
