removing rudder

can anyone tell me how to remove shock bolts on top and remove rudder i have loosened nut on top of rudder and it wont go through assemblty in rear crossmember

The rudder is held in by the bolt-pin at the top. Remove the nut, knock the bolt out and the top of the steering mechanism should lift off the rudder shaft. Loosen the packing assembly and the rudder should drop out the bottom of the rear tunnel.

If the upper body support frame is twisted, it might cause a slight bind at the top of the rudder. You should be able to pound it out regardless. I just did this several weeks ago following the manual, however it was impossible to remove the rudder without removing or lifting the rear deck to access the top bolt-pin.
