GPA part 4867 versus 4860

Post by leo verhagen » Wed Jun 16, 2010 6:53 pm

Hi all,

I need confirmation on GPA part #4860:
This part came out of a new package and had the number GPA 4860 on it, but 4860 is the yoke for the PTO wich looks different.
Now I think it is GPA part#4867.
Can anyone of you confirm this?
(If not, how does GPA part#4867 looks like then?)

Thanks for your answers.

Hi Leo,
You are correct, the photo you show is the yoke that fits on the end of the marine propeller shaft, GPA4867. The yoke on the PTO, GPA 4860 has a shoulder on it for the oilseal. I had the same problem, however it is possible to have the yoke 4867 machined to take the oilseal, I had this done and it works perfectly. You could of course use the yoke 4860 in place of 4867 as it is.
Hope this helps.
Bob

Hello Bob,

Thanks for your help. I do have the original yoke for the PTO, but was not shure if this was the other one.
I have all the info I need now.
Great that we have a Forum like this.
