Amphib international Germany 2014

Dear friends,
Just came back from a great Amphib meeting in Germany at Traben Trarbach, at the river Mosel.
Jurgen Neuenhausen and his team did a fantastic job to organise such a big event.
Everything was good organised, with many meals, tours, excursions, nice locations and villages and most of the time
weather.
There were abouth 60 vehicles over there and with a big variation
Sunday until friday we had different tours with wednesday a resting- / maintenance day.
We started with every morning a briefing with the latest updates.
Then the tours on the road and ramps to the river.
A trip or swim for some time and than a break.
This all was traditional ended with a "captains dinner" with all the "normal" traditions and habits.
A great variaty of vehicles:
At least 25 Amphicars, here the organiser, Jurgen and some of his team:
14 Ford GPA's from all over Europe:
5 Russian GAZ 46:
5 DUKW's with even one DUKW that came over a long distance by road:
5 VW / Porsche Schwimmwagens:
1 very rare Trippel in a perfect condition, and I have never seen one in the water:
3 Duttons:
1 Jetranger:
1 very special own prepared Citroen CX break:
1 Peking Jeep BAW:
1 Amphi-ranger:
1 own made Amphi-bus, Nick from G.B.is allways there,by road, and in all the years I've never seen him use a tool, the car allways performs perfect.
During the last meal and captains dinner, the Dutch anounced that the next Amphib 2015 will be held in the Neterlands, in Amsterdam!
I am shure, everybody is already looking forward to this!
German team; thank you again very much for this event
(Captain Vapour) Bob (Thanks Jorrit!)
